Payment for your holiday cave.
Deposit – A 30% deposit will be required within 7 days of booking your holiday dates by bank transfer. This deposit is non refundable. If the deposit has not been received by us within the 7 days the dates you requested will be released and your booking cancelled.
Balance of your payment – The balance should be made within 6 weeks before your holiday is due to begin and can be paid by bank transfer. In case of short notice holidays then payment in Euros should be made on arrival.
Cancellations – If you need to cancel the booking please do so in writing. Any cancellation of a booking will result in the loss of the deposit. If the cancellation is received 6 weeks or more before your arrival then you will be entitled to 50% refund of any balance you may have paid (minus the deposit). If the cancellation is received between 4-6 weeks before arrival you will be entitled to a 25% refund of any balance you may have paid (minus the deposit). There will be no refund if your cancellation is received by us within 4 weeks of your arrival date.
Guest Arrival and Departure.
Arrival and Departure – You may check in after 2pm on the day of your arrival date. On your departure date we ask that you leave no later than 11am. However, we can be flexible if we do not have a new guest arriving on your departure date. Please ask if you would like an later departure time.
Check in Procedures
All guests will be required to produce a passport and the group leader should provide proof of address before keys are handed over. The accommodation must only be occupied by the guests stated on the booking form and not by any other person with permission. Bookings which include children under the age of 16 must have at least two people within that booking over the age of 21 years for supervision.
House (Cave) Rules
Behaviour of our Guests – If we deem that anyone in your party causes extreme nuisance or disturbance to others, they will be requested to leave the accommodation with immediate effect and with no refund of any payment made. This also applies to anyone who may make any damage to our cave homes.
Cleaning – The cave should be of a high standard of cleanliness when you arrive. Please report anything untoward to us immediately and we will take action. You are expected to keep the property in good order during your stay. On you departure we do expect that the cave will be left in a good clean state. If you would prefer we can arrange for someone to do it for you at a charge of €45. Please let us know as soon as possible if you require this service.
Gym – The gym is for the use of all guests and a key will be provided, however, it is at your own risk and you are responsible to ensure your own safety. Please read the operating manuals before using any of the equipment available. Please use appropriate footwear at all times especially on the running machine. Please keep all machines clean wiping wherever necessary. If there appears to be a problem with any of the equipment please report it in the book provided or if you feel it is urgent please contact us immediately.
Smoking – We have a no smoking policy within our caves or gym. There are ashtrays provided for anyone wishing to smoke outside the properties.
Pets – Small family pets may be permitted on request. It is at our own discretion whether pets will be allowed on the premises.
Breakages – Breakages happen so we ask that any item that is deemed broken or damaged be reported to us as soon as possible so we can replace the item(s) for the next guest. Any significant damage other than accidental must be replaced or payment made for its replacement by you or the person responsible for the booking.
Ironing, Towels and Linen.
An iron and ironing board will be provided and a washing line is within the garden area. There are hand and bath towels available for use within the cave only. Please do not take them outside. For a 7 day holiday or less then one set of bed linen is provided. 2 sets will be provided for 8 days or more.
Cleaning will be done before your arrival and on your departure. As stated above, we do expect you to leave the property in a good state but if you prefer to have a cleaning service provided, please request as soon as possible. The charge will be €45 per clean.
There is a car park area provided for one car per cave. Please park in the designated areas under the car port and not against the walls of the carpark or on the road.
Guests are expected to take due care and attention and maintain their own health and safety when staying in our accommodation. Guests will be expected to not put themselves or others at risk of injury or harm, due to lack of due care and attention. All children and vulnerable adults must be supervised and supported by the adults and responsible individuals in the guest party. We strongly recommend that all guests take out full holiday insurance cover.
Cuevas de la Paz accepts no responsibility for damage to personal property brought into the premises or in its communal grounds. Cuevas de la Paz cannot be held responsible for the failure of public services et water, gas, electricity, or internet which is beyond our control. We cannot be held responsible for any ‘acts of God’ such as floods, earthquake or other disturbances out of our control.
The proprietors of Cuevas de la Paz will do their utmost to ensure your rental accommodation not only meets but exceeds your expectations. If for any reason you have cause for complaint, this complaint must be brought to our attention immediately during your stay. This can be done face to face with us or by completion of a complaints form provided and handed to us to ensure we are aware of the form. This must be done quickly so we can rectify the issue as soon as possible. We do not accept liability for complaints made after the end of your holiday, all complaints need to be reported during your holiday rental. If any issue is not rectified to your satisfaction during your stay, please put into writing within 28 days of completion of your holiday.
